Our Christmas Trip

Wow, it feels strange to by typing in this interface... it's been so long.

I thought I should post some of the pics from our Christmas trip, since it's been two months and I finally took them off of the camera...

We went from this on Christmas Day...

to this within 24 hours...

We took the kids to my old stomping grounds: Boardwalk.

And then hit Disney the after of a couple of days of relaxing at "home".

Rode the teacups...

Made history by posing for a picture together...

Do you remember that commercial where the parents keep trying to make the teenage girl smile, but she just WON'T...?

Nadia is looking rather serious here as well, but it's just because she's trying very hard to teleport herself onto the stage where she's watching Ariel dance with Goofy.

I think the highlight of the trip (for ALL of us) was dinner at the Grand Floridian. Much better than the character meals within the parks, Cinderella and crew come up to EACH CHILD and converse, hug, sign autographs, and pose for pictures.

Better yet, they are in character the entire time and it's a real hoot...

The evil stepsisters, Anastasia and Drizella, kept fighting with each other, swooning over Prince Charming, and whining. The Evil Stepmother would scold them and tell them to be proper. It was hilarious. I don't understand why I can't find a photo of the Evil Stepmom - she was the best by far and Derek couldn't stop laughing at her antics. She came by and scolded Nadia to sit up straight and I thought Nadia might cry for a moment there... so funny. Good thing we are not very sensitive! :)

Later in the dinner, Evil Stepmom came by and warned Nadia that there would be no dessert if she did not eat well. Sure enough, Nadia cleaned her plate, flagged down Evil Stepmom to show her, and then asked for dessert.

We were all very tired by the end of the day. The park was open until midnight I think.

Watching fireworks, just before calling it a night...

We had to take one final picture before heading out.

We did go to Sea World as well, and I know I uploaded some pictures from there - namely Nadia shaking hand/fin with Clyde (of the famed Clyde and Seymour show). She was the lucky young lady selected from the audience to come down and meet him. But somewhere in the hour it has taken me to get these pics posted, I must have deleted that one from the post when I was rearranging pics. And frankly, I need to go to bed, peeps! I will post the Clyde photo soon.

The remainder of our trip we spent lounging by the pool, enjoying the warm weather, and watching the ice melt in Nadia's Five Dollar Sprite:
