Here we go now...

The first game of the season was very exciting! Not only has Blake been waiting to play tackle football for years, but he and his cousin Michael have looked forward to living in the same town and playing on the same teams for even longer.

Kickoff

The game went well, although we lost 6-0. Blake starts on both offense and defense, and played the entire game. He is aggressive and gets right in there.



The team's defense is very strong, and I think we could have scored if the competition hadn't had a six-foot twelve-year-old.... he tackled on every play and was inescapable.

Check out the size of this kid! He was taller than some of the adult refs. Outrageous. Apparently he was held back for a couple of grades and is still playing in this league (for 4th, 5th and 6th graders) because there is no age or weight limit. I guess you'll always have that to some extent. Deal with it, right?
